Singapore’s Largest Exhibition & Convention Facility Built as a 60,000㎡ Venue with Support from Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry(1999)
As the largest exhibition & convention facility in Singapore, Singapore Expo was completed in the size of 60,000㎡ by PSA Corporation, the world’s largest port operating company, which received a financial subsidy of S$220mn from Ministry of Trade and Industry. It is located close to Simei and Tanah Merah, just 5 minutes from the international airport and is also at 15 minutes’ distance to the downtown business center.

1st Expansion (2005) and 2nd Expansion (2012) Conducted in Response to the Changing Global Demand Including the Development of Multi-Purpose Facilities and Nearby Multiple Infrastructure (mid to late portion of first decade of the new millennium to present)
Due to a steadily growing demand for exhibitions and conventions, Singapore Expo came to implement its first expansion in 2005, which built an exhibition space of 40,000㎡ including Max Pavilion (9,936㎡), a multi-purpose hall, thus securing the current exhibition space of about 100,000m2. Afterwards, the 2nd expansion in 2012 proceeded with simultaneous development Max Atria (12,723㎡), a latest eco-friendly event facility, and new hotel, F&B, and lifestyle outlet around Max Astria, thus creating a basis for responding to the changing global demand.

Diverse Multiple Infrastructure Built to Create a Global Business Park District Focused on Exhibition & Convention Center
Located in Changi Business Park that includes a concentration of advanced technology firms, knowledge-intensive facilities, multinational corporations, banks, finance, and logistics companies, Singapore Expo now serves as a central facility that provides for global network and business exchange for the government, international trade organizations, and associations. It is also implementing efforts to revitalize the area around the center into a business, event, and lifestyle hub through continuously promoted development and improvement projects, and the creation of University of Technology and Design in 2015 will double the effect.

Professionals with Know-How and Related Experience in Event Operation and Facilities Operation Placed as Manager
Currently, the operation of the facility is under the responsibility of Singex Venues Pte Ltd affiliated with Singex Group, which has a manager possessing event management and facilities operating ability to strengthen the status of Singapore Expo as the leader in Asia business event solution. Appointed as CEO in April 2010, Aloysius Arlando, who has spent last 17 years in experiencing the areas of tourism, business, and government, is a global talent who has served as top manager for Business Travel & MICE of Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and general manager for APEC Organizing Committee.

Compliance with Global Standard and Fulfillment of Social Responsibility Designed to Manage Business Continuity through Flexible Response to Global Environment
As an exhibition & convention facility that implements a company-wide policy oriented toward Business Continuity Management (BCM), Singapore Expo is striving to ensure service quality and customer satisfaction while getting certified for ISO 9001:2008 from ISO. Also, by complying with (BS)25999, the UK standard, and (SS)540:2008, the Singaporean standard, it makes continued efforts to flexibly respond to global environment and improve quality management system. Besides, Singapore Expo fulfills its social responsibility while following the worldwide trend for reflecting eco-sustainability in its business operations for the purpose of addressing climate change and environmental questions.

As Part of Fulfillment of Social Responsibility, Max Atria = Green Building
Built in a 2012 expansion as part of such efforts, Max Astria was designed as an eco-friendly structure aiming at a Green Building. Its core concept includes “interior considering energy & water efficiency” and ”eco-friendly outdoor event space“, while the air circulation system for the building was designed to have space with natural light and lighting as well as a structure connecting to all levels. Especially, the foyer, which can accommodate accessory events, adopts natural lighting, while the lighting for closed spaces such as stairways and restrooms operates to motion sensors. LED light fixtures are installed for all meeting rooms, lobby, and outside lighting, while air-conditioning uses equipment and technology for maximized energy efficiency, thus saving 30% of energy. Besides, companies operating in the facility such as event-organizers and exhibitors are instructed to use recyclable items and eco-friendly certified products. By ensuring that minimum 30% of recycled products are used for carpet, partitions, doors, waterproof materials, and eco-concrete, it realizes Green Building mode not only for the facilities but also all activities in the facilities.
