A Component of IT&CM Presented by TTG Events
Just like IT&CM China (Incentive Travel & Conventions, Meetings China), IT&CMA (Incentive Travel & Conventions, Meetings Asia) is a component of IT&CM Series of TTG Events and has since 2004 been synchronized with CTW Asia-Pacific (Corporate Travel World Asia-Pacific), an event specialized in corporate travel. IT&CMA is a meetings industry trade show that treats venues, products, services, and solutions related to the MICE industry which comprises meetings, incentives, conventions, and events, and is held every year at Bangkok Convention Center in Thailand.

Held at Bangkok Convention Center in Central World, an MICE Complex
2013 IT&CMA and CTW Asia-Pacific was held at Bangkok Convention Center in a space with a size of 5,000㎡. Bangkok Convention Center is located in Central World, a meetings complex that incorporates 5-star hotel, restaurant, bar, spa, and mall, and had Suvarnabhumi International Airport at 30 minutes’ distance via airport speed rail. Its advantages include excellent accessibility with the subway connection and easy access to accessory facilities.

Exhibitors of Diverse Nationalities and Business Categories
An analysis of the implementation of IT&CMA based on the performance of the 2013 session shows that 285 companies participated in the exhibition from countries of the world including Australia, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Jordan, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, UAE, the UK, and Vietnam. A classification of the exhibitors by business category shows that 36% of them came in hotel and resort business, which was followed by 32% in convention bureau and tourism administration, and 14% in exhibition and convention accommodating facilities and travel agencies.

2,657 Visitors Participated from 57 Countries, with a High Percentage of Buyers from Asia Pacific and Europe
IT&CMA and CTW Asia-Pacific 2013 had 2,675 visitors participating from 57 countries, 542 persons of whom were buyers or corporate travel managers, 142 persons worked in media, and 912 persons were VIPs, speakers, or guests. Total 174 persons participated in the conference of CTW Asia-Pacific. To look at the hosted buyers (542 persons) for 2013 by nationality, buyers from Asia Pacific took up the largest portion of 50%, which was followed by 36% from Europe and 6% from Australasia (a geographical name referring to the entire South Pacific islands including Australia, New Zealand, and New Guinea). By business category (*with multiple choices allowed), workers of travel agencies specialized in incentives took up the largest portion of 58%, followed by 36% for local services providers, 35% for meeting planners, 34% for employees of travel agencies, and 33% for people from incentive houses.

European Media Registering a Higher Percentage than Asia-Pacific Media
To categorize media people by nationality, Asia-Pacific media excluding 11% for media from Thailand, the venue, accounted for 34%, while Europe took up a higher 49%. By the number of media people, top three countries were Australia (4%), Belgium (2%), and Germany (2%), thus suggesting a strong interest in IT&CMA from European buyers and news media outlets.

Over 14,000 Business Meetings between Exhibitors and Buyers
It was reported that over 14,000 business meetings were realized between 332 exhibitors and 542 buyers who participated in 2013 IT&CMA. 86% of total exhibitors succeeded in signing contracts through their participation in the exhibition and 40% of the buyers finalized their purchases during the event period.
