ITB Asia is a B2B trade exhibition & convention that proceeds for 3 days every year as part of ITB Portfolio, an exhibition specialized in travel industry presented by Messe Berlin. An annual event held every March in Berlin, Germany, ITB is held with 11,000 exhibitors participating from 188 countries and regions and boasts a long 45-year history. ITB Asia has since 2012 been held at Sands Expo and Convention Center in Marina Bay Sands. Marina Bay Sands, which includes Sands Expo and Convention Center, is Asia’s leading meetings complex. As it includes the convention center as well as various accessory facilities such as museum, restaurant, mall, and hotel, the site is spotlighted as an ideal venue for meetings.

824 Exhibitors Participating from 73 Countries Wordlwide
Based on its 2013 performance, the exhibitors and audience statistics at ITB Asia may be summarized as follows. 825 companies participated from 73 countries of the world. By country, Asian exhibitors accounted for the largest portion of 64.4%, while Europe and Middle East registered a relatively high percentage of 17.4% and 7.2%, respectively. Meanwhile, North America, Central America, South America, Australia, and Oceania accounted for 2.0 to 3.9%, respectively. By business category, lodging business such as hotel accounted for the largest portion of 29.3%, which was followed by 26.5% for travel agencies and 16.3% for tourism organization.

Of All 9,100 Visitors, 74% Came from Asia-Pacific Countries
2013 ITB Asia had total 9,100 visitors who came from 110 different countries. The largest 74% of the total visitors came from Asia Pacific, while 18% were European visitors and 5% were Middle East visitors. *The Americas* and Africa each took up 2% and 1%. By business category, travel industry people accounted for the largest portion of 27.5%, which was followed by 16.4% for wholesalers and 7.7% for meetings, incentives, and event planners.
